Junior Cycle – Year 1

Welcome to the Year 1 webpage

Looking at the work this year’s First Years have done it is evident that they are a very good class!

For the Culture Studies Copy students painted Van Gogh’s ‘Starry Night’ .

We started off with the area of Graphic Design.

The students made an ART JOURNAL.

They designed their A 2 school art folder. They have worked with great enthusiasm and everybody did their very best, as you can see below:

Students then had a look into their Art Book  (ART – The Definitive Visual Guide by DK) and as part of our culture studies they made a copy of an artist’s work that caught their eye. Van Gogh is always a favourite but other, may be lesser known artists, also got chosen. Take a look the pictures they painted or drew which now cover the front of their culture studies copy.
