Gort Community have recently joined a number of schools from around the country in attaining the Gaelbhratach for their work in promoting the use of the Irish language in their school and community.
The school’s Gaelbhratach committee completed a lot of work throughout this school year in order to achieve this prestigious flag.  Their teachers Ms. Olivia Daniels and Ms. Fiona Lyons are very proud of their students and their commitment to the Irish language.  The school will be continuing with activities outside of the classroom in order to enhance the use of the Irish language in the coming years – Beatha teanga í a labhairt’.
